Tribù Senja collection
Studio Segers built Senja around a sofa you lay out yourself, module by module, with a table or a console dropped into the run wherever a surface is needed.

Senja in one paragraph
The insert is the part worth understanding. Rather than pushing a side table against the arm, you order a table module that sits inside the seating run at seat height, so a drink has somewhere to land halfway along a long sofa. The console version gives you a shelf behind the backrest, which earns its keep when the sofa floats in the middle of a terrace rather than standing against a wall.
Legs are the first decision. Powder-coated aluminum comes in two finishes, linen and wengé, and the third option is solid plantation teak. Aluminum stays as delivered, which is what you want on a Miami balcony where salt air is a daily fact. Teak moves instead. Leave it and it goes silver-grey through a first season; oil it twice a year and it keeps the warm tone it shipped in.
Seven pieces carry the collection — the modular sofa, a 1-seat sofa, an armchair, a lounge chair, a meridienne, a lounger and a coffee table. The armchair is the lightest thing here. Its back is Canax® cord wound across the frame instead of a cushion, which is what keeps the profile thin enough to pull up to a table.
The lounger takes the deepest cushions in the range and can be ordered with a side table running its full length. That is more useful than it sounds, because a book, a phone and a glass all sit within reach without anyone leaning over the frame rail. Covers come off for washing. Stand cushions on edge after a storm so both faces dry, and bring them indoors for the winter.

How a Senja piece is layered
-
Cushion cover
Comes off for washing. Ask which weaves in the range are solution-dyed, because in those the color sits inside the fiber and sun takes it slowly.
-
Cushion core
Outdoor foam that drains through the base. Standing a cushion on edge clears it faster than leaving it flat.
-
Seat module
The unit you multiply. Table and console inserts drop into the same run, so the surfaces stay part of the sofa rather than parked beside it.
-
Legs and finish
Powder-coated aluminum in linen or wengé, or solid plantation teak. Note the finish in your file so a piece added later matches the group.
