The designers behind Tribù

Tribù has no in-house studio. Each collection goes to an outside designer or design office, and the drawings keep their name. Below is who drew what, taken from the factory catalog.

Process

How a Tribù collection comes about

  1. A designer is invited

The house picks an outside studio rather than drawing in-house.

  2. Material first

Teak, rope or aluminium is settled before the shape is fixed.

  3. Prototype and weather

Pieces are left outdoors before the range is signed off.

  4. Catalog

The collection joins the range under the designer's name.

The rule goes back to 1992, when Wim Segers drew Praslin.
